It's been a busy summer! Keeping up with a business while also being a Stay-At-Home-Mom with a toddler AND being pregnant has kept things interesting... 🤪 These days editing happens after Judah is asleep and Matt has Stranger Things 4 on the TV. You might also find a pint of ice cream next to me to snack on as well. I haven't been posting as much as I had been in the past. So ICYMI, here is a preview of a few of the summer photoshoots thus far!

Alyssa & Ethan have become good friends over the past through years through St. Marcus. They love people with such open hearts, willing to help in whatever capacity needed - it's contagious. Their wedding day was full of JOY, filled with genuine friends and loyal family. If you were there in person, you couldn't help yourself but smile.
A&E held their ceremony at St. Marcus, and WOW what a lovely event to witness. They relied on their talented musical friends to lead the entire congregation in worship. Not just hymns with an organ, but campfire, large group style worship with a piano, cajon, guitar, and violins. The space was filled with joy-filled voices and again, you couldn't help but smile and be in awe of the God that brought these two together. Ah, this is one of my favorite shoots to look forward to every summer! I believe this is the 4th summer of doing the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School's cheerleading team pictures. The captains pick their location (usually a spot near Lake Michigan or Downtown Milwaukee) and we capture creative team photos, as well as individuals for the team to use throughout the year for promotions, social media, and overall documentation of their team. This team grows each year and there are more new faces to remember - it's a fun challenge to take on! This year we went to Lakeshore Park (near Discovery World/Summerfest) and were able to capture the beautiful Downtown Milwaukee skyline as their backdrop. Later, we moved on to a small beach south of Bradford Beach for individual photos. Enjoy a few of my favorites below. :)

I met these beautiful ladies through my sister! Kayla graduated from Concordia University and Olivia graduated from Marquette University. Both of these girls were so much fun to capture. These photoshoots were quite the challenge! From champagne bottle mishaps, to weather questionable weather, to trying to capture portraits throughout campus while hundreds of other people are trying to do the same thing. Either way, these turned out better than I could have hoped for. The laughs shared during the photoshoot and excitement for these ladies' future really made my day. Congrats, Kayla and Olivia!

My goodness, is this little family SO ADORABLE. Most people think you need a full hour and multiple locations to make a family photoshoot happen - I disagree! Especially with littles, I prefer to keep it simple. 25 minutes tops, 1 simple location, and bring something to make it fun (I chose bubbles for this shoot). We made it work at Lake Park by the Lighthouse on a Saturday morning and God couldn't have given us better weather. Everything was in bloom and created such a lovely backdrop to capture this family's sweet love for each other. Let me tell you though, little Caroline stole the show with her camera-ready smile. 💛
